Chlorophyll Chlorophyll is the latest health product be soaring all over the internet and you may have been seeing it everywhere.

TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Google, etc. and it may have piqued your interest.

Leaving you wondering whether or not this is the latest and greatest health phenomenon.

Well, I am here to share with you my entire process including my results, side effects, etc. while drinking Chlorophyll for 90 days.

I also want to include my FREE Chlorophyll drink recipe!

Its super easy to make and makes the Chlorophyll palatable.

Along with the proper way to drink it.

Let’s jump in!

What Is Chlorophyll?

To keep it short and sweet, the green pigment that you see when you look at certain fruits and vegetables.

Chlorophyll is created by the photosynthesis process that plants use to feed themselves.

It forms chloroplasts, leading to chlorophyll, Resulting in their green hue.

Now, what many companies have decided to do is extract that green pigment to make liquid Chlorophyll.

Quick Biology lesson: Plants use photosynthesis to feed themselves. Animal cells do not use photosynthesis because we have mitochondria.

Essentially, this is why chlorophyll has gotten so much attention.

It is produced through the absorption of nutrients by the plants that we eat every day.

Stay with me, I’m sorry I’m a nerd. But that proposes the question…

Why are we interested in chlorophyll?

In theory, the reason we eat plants is due to their nutrients.

Most nutritionists tend to tell people to eat “dark, leafy greens”

The component that makes those greens “dark” is….

Chlorophyll. Yay, we finally got to the point.

By drinking chlorophyll, we are getting that extra boost of nutrients from the plants that we are supposed to be eat.

So, now that we know what chlorophyll is…

What are the claims/ benefits of Chlorophyll?

Here are some of the claims/benefits:

  • Internal deodorant
  • Regular bowl movements
  • Boosted immunity
  • Aids in weight loss
  • Oxygenates your blood
  • Energy
  • Produces red blood cells
  • Detoxification
  • Neutralizes the body internally

And to be honest, the list goes on and on after every video you watch.

So, is it true or not?

First, let me show you the brands that I bought and how I used them.

This was the first brand that I tried, and it seemed to be the most cost-effective and cleanest ingredients!

It’s pure and the instructions were very simple:

  • 1 tsp a day in 8fl oz of water

I really loved the ease of this one and the convivence. It does have to be refrigerated though.

The second brand that I tried was:

Nature’s Sunshine Liquid Chlorophyll Extra Strength -$18

I had to purchase two brands because…

The Now Foods Liquid Chlorophyll sold out, so QUICKLY and I started to make the Chlorophyll water for my mother as well.

However, the Nature’s Sunshine Liquid Chlorophyll also was fantastic to me as well.

Now let’s talk about the benefits.

My Results:

I hate to be the barrier of bad news, but I did not experience any weight loss.

I know that so many people have been advertising this as some weight loss miracle, but I did not lose any weight while drinking chlorophyll.

Of course, I would have loved to see some weight loss, I did not lose a pound so that claim can be debunked.

My skin however:

I immediately noticed a difference in my skin within about a week or so.

I noticed that I had more of a glow, less clogged pores, more radiance,etc.

  • My eyes weren’t as dark
  • My skin was very clear
  • Glow
  • Not super oily
  • My skin looked more plump
  • More youthful
  • Bright
  • Decreased acne

And if you don’t believe this is true, here are my before and after’s!


I want to also clarify some things:

DID NOT have on any FOUNDATION / CONCEALER in either of these pictures.

The only makeup I had on was mascara and lip gloss in the “before” picture but in the after picture, there was no makeup at all.

There are also no filters on any of these pictures. These are clear before & after’s while using chlorophyll.

Even I was shocked to see the difference in my skin.


Next, I want to talk about the bodily changes that I experienced while drinking chlorophyll.

As I mentioned earlier, I unfortunately did not lose any weight.

HOWEVER, there is a claim that chlorophyll is a natural, internal deodorant.

I’m here to tell you that that is completely… TRUE!

Now this was some shit.

I wanted to see if this would help with body odor and feeling fresh.

I’m a plus sized girl and I make sure that I always smell fresh so that is what initially brought me to the chlorophyll side of TikTok.

  • I did NOT wake up with any morning breath: not even the slightest!
  • No feminine odors, I was fresh all day long
  • No musty smells even when I didn’t wear deodorant (I was testing the chlorophyll for a day)
  • Bad breath? Nope not even during the day

I am completely blown away at this ALONE!

It really helped to boost my confidence in the fact that I felt and smelled super clean all day without having to do anything extra.

Of course, I continued my regular hygiene ritual, but it was amazing to see that even if I was sweating there was NO SMELL. 

If that isn’t enough to convince you that you need to start drinking chlorophyll, idk what will!


My Gut Health:

Ehh, I know that talking about what happens in the bathroom is usually off limits, but I just want to mention a few things.

  • I did experience regular BM’s (I am usually not very regular)
  • less of a smell (sorry)
  • My mother also experienced these as well
  • More energy

The Side Effects of Drinking Chlorophyll:

Although there have not been many tests and studies done on chlorophyll there are some small side effects that we are to look out for.

  • Stomach pain
  • Diarrhea
  • Loose stools
  • Green colored stool/urine
  • Skin sensitivity to sunlight
  • Nausea

Just like almost all products, no matter how healthy, there are risks at hand.

The only three side effects that I noticed while taking the chlorophyll for 90 days was:

  1. Green colored stool

Not surprisingly, when I stopped:

  1. Irregular BMs
  2. Skin dulled almost immediately.

Once I stopped taking the chlorophyll, the first thing I noticed was my stool was no longer green.

Plus, I was back to being irregular and backed up. Haha

In addition to that, my skin went to hell. I was dull and boring again.

Other than that, I have not experienced any other side effects.


My Final Thoughts:

Due to my amazing success with drinking chlorophyll. I would like to announce that I have resumed drinking it again.

I drink my chlorophyll every morning on an empty stomach, and I cannot express how happy it has made it.

My confidence is great, I am not bloated, regular BMS, glowing skin, fresh smelling, etc.

Not enough can be said about the amazing benefits of chlorophyll.

In fact, it is so good that my mother has also continued to drink it every day as well.

Hence, why I am so energized writing this stellar review at 2 am.

So, the million-dollar question is… is chlorophyll worth the hype and is it the next jackpot to boost your health?

Personally, I am screaming “YES!” from the heavens above.

From the short time that I have dedicated myself to drinking this every morning and seeing the drastic change in my body, it is a staple that I will not give up!
